I have once already covered a hiking trail between Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg – the very scenic and well-known Panorama Trail. However, this time, I have something more special in store – a trail that is a bit more challenging and technical with plenty of scenery to enjoy, but, very possibly, you won’t see another soul in sight for most of the way. If this sounds like your cup of tea, this hike will be for you!

If you’re looking for a hike with impressive views of the Jungfrau Region and a bit of a challenge, look no further. Lobhornhütte can be quite a popular destination, especially on weekends, but this trail from Grütschalp is a lesser-taken route and will offer you an escape from the crowds. It’s easy to access, relatively affordable, and the views are guaranteed to take your breath away.

Heading outdoors hiking is not only great for your physical and mental health, but it’s a great way to explore your surroundings and nature. For me, it’s also a way to build my character and get to know myself better, clear my mind and put my camera to use capturing the beauty around me. And it makes me incredibly happy every time I hear that I have inspired someone else to start hiking for the first time. To help you embark on this journey, I wanted to share what I have learned through my hikes.

This path is a must-do for every mountaineering or hiking fanatic as it’s the classic route for access to the many climbing routes on the notorious sheer rock face. This trail runs mostly downhill, will offer incredible and awe-inspiring views, and is suitable for most hikers.

Nestled on the southern shore of Lake Brienz and just a short drive away from Interlaken, the quaint little village of Iseltwald is no secret and is well accessible. Due to all of these factors combined, it can sometimes feel quite crowded, making the incredible views a tad bit less enjoyable. However, there is a way to enjoy this beauty from a distance – the scenic loop hike above Iseltwald. What’s better – it includes a little detour to a lookout point with the most magnificent views. Let me show you the way!

Leiterhorn trail is a popular choice in winter for a scenic snowshoe tour from Wengen, however, it’s just as good and stunning in the summer. It’s a relatively short hike, but will make you break a sweat on some steep ascents. It’s become one of my favourites around Jungfrau Region as it offers some of the best views of Lauterbrunnen valley and is easy and budget-friendly to access, but most importantly – it offers a great escape as the trail is never busy.

Don’t be mistaken, this won’t be a zero waste movement type of post. And this is not about being a minimalist either. For me, living with less has meant saying no to a corporate career, fancy job perks, status, big paychecks, and, most importantly, society expectations. Having less of all this to chase my dreams. Eventually, it’s my take on how to live and experience more. Continue reading “My Pursuit Of Happiness: How To Live With Less And Be Content” →
